Venezuelan-born and New York–based, I create work that explores belonging and otherness, searching for beauty in the forgotten, the grotesque, and the hidden.Drawn to the micro and the macro, to the details often overlooked, and to the differences that reveal unexpected kinship. The natural world is my greatest source of wonder, and plants, flowers, animals, and tiny organisms frequently find their way into my imagery. My practice blends paint and canvas with scraps of paper, thread, and cloth, allowing organic forms and materials to merge into layered meditations on identity, memory, and place.
